INCLUSION STATEMENT

OUR COMMITMENT

At the Scottish ‘Pause Summit we are passionate about delivering a space that welcomes growth and development for all that attend, regardless of race, gender, sexuality or disability. It is of the upmost importance that we all strive to create this at the event by being respectful and welcoming to everyone. Those who are not able to adhere to this policy will be asked to leave without refund.

At The Scottish ‘Pause Summit, everyone is welcome — exactly as they are. We’re here to connect, learn, and grow together in a space that celebrates individuality, community, and caring.

We believe that community works best when everyone feels they belong. This event is designed to be inclusive, accessible, and supportive for all attendees, speakers, and team members — regardless of background, ability, gender, or experience.

ACCESSIBILITY

We’re taking practical steps to make sure the venue is comfortable and accessible for everyone:

  • Toilets available with urinals, without urinals, and an accessible toilet.
  • If required, ramp access to the stage for speakers and performers.
  • Head mics and hand mics available for flexible communication and accessibility needs
  • A quiet space to regulate

If there’s anything else we can do to make your experience easier, please let us know. We genuinely welcome feedback to keep improving.

NEUROINCLUSION

We understand that busy, high-energy spaces can be challenging for some. Our aim is to create a day that feels supportive and safe for neurodivergent attendees — with clear communication, friendly faces, and flexibility wherever possible

RESPECT AND BEHAVIOUR

Our event is built on respect, inclusion, development, and growth. We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to:

  • Racism or racial abuse
  • Gender-based discrimination or harassment
  • Any behaviour that undermines another person’s comfort, appearance, confidence, or identity
  • Ableism

If you witness or experience behaviour that doesn’t align with these values, please speak to a member of the team immediately.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND SHARING

We love seeing your posts and stories — they bring the Summit to life! However, please use respectful social media practice:

  • Ask permission before posting images or videos of others
  • Tag people correctly when sharing their business or content

EVERYONE BELONGS HERE

Come as you are – colourful, curious, and ready to connect. Together we’re creating a community that celebrates difference, builds trust, and promotes belong.
