A TRULY UNIQUE EXPERIENCE!
Dr Becky Howie is a GP and GP appraiser based in Lanarkshire, with over 15 years extensive experience in the field. She has a notable interest in women’s health and menopause and is currently pursuing additional training in this area.
Dr Howie actively participates in the Scottish Government’s National Menopause Network meetings, helping her stay informed about the latest developments and best practice in women’s healthcare.
In her NHS practice, Becky has established group consultations focused on menopause. This holistic approach to menopause care has been well-received; providing women with the opportunity to understand what is happening to their bodies during perimenopause and beyond. She emphasises the importance of managing symptoms holistically, ensuring that HRT (hormone replacement therapy) is considered alongside lifestyle changes, self-compassion, and empowering women to advocate for their needs during this life transition.
Dr Howie is a certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician, having earned an international qualification in this field which examines how lifestyle choices impact health, longevity, energy, and overall well-being.
Adopting a holistic, person-centred approach to healthcare, Becky emphasises the significance of lifestyle modifications alongside medical treatments to enhance health and well-being. She is also trained as a transformational coach and utilises this skill to help patients make meaningful changes in their health.
