This year Menopause Cafe was a finalist in the Campaign of the Year category of the Scottish Charity awards, run by the Scottish Council for the Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).

‘Menopause Pioneer’ Rachel Weiss had the idea for Menopause Cafe in 2017 inspired by Kirsty Wark’s BBC programme “Menopause and Me”. At the time she was 50, peri, and nobody was talking about menopause!

Menopause Cafe charity makes menopause part of everyday conversation, reducing stigma and increasing knowledge. We do this by:

  • supporting pop-up menopause discussion groups worldwide, in person and online, in the community and in the workplace. These are open to all ages and genders. Find your nearest cafe at www.menopausecafe.net
  • selling the Menopause Awareness Ribbon; wearing this reduces the shame around menopause and shows you are open to talking about it.

Visit our stand for menopause information leaflets and to buy your own Menopause Awareness Ribbon to wear with pride!
