Napiers

Napiers the Herbalists is Scotland’s oldest herbal apothecary, celebrating our  166th year. Founded in Edinburgh, we make herbal remedies, skincare and wellness products using herbal medicine to tackle some of the everyday health challenges that people face with the aim of offering them personalised healthcare. We have been supporting menopause for over 25 years, becoming experts in the use of herbal medicine in reducing symptoms and improving quality of life at a difficult stage in many women’s health journey.

Dr Monika Gostic

Dr Monika Gostic is a PhD geneticist, lifestyle medicine practitioner, university lecturer and women’s health educator specialising in perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause.

She is the creator of MenoMAP, a science-led framework that helps women navigate midlife with confidence by combining evidence-based nutrition, gut microbiome science, hormone health, lifestyle medicine and personalised health strategies.

Rather than offering generic meal plans or quick fixes, Monika works with women experiencing weight gain, fatigue, brain fog, digestive issues, inflammation and metabolic changes, helping them understand what is happening in their bodies and how to respond using practical, sustainable solutions.

Her work combines advanced biomarker interpretation, gut microbiome testing and the latest research with real-world coaching that fits around busy lives, careers and families. She believes every woman deserves healthcare that looks beyond symptoms and supports the whole person.

Alongside her clinical work, Monika lectures at the University of Aberdeen, speaks nationally on women’s health and health innovation, and is developing BalanceHer, an AI-powered personalised health platform designed to transform how women understand and manage their health throughout midlife.

Her mission is simple: to replace confusion with clarity and empower women to thrive through every stage of the menopause transition.

Understand your body. Transform your health.

Elansu Activewear

Big boobs shouldn’t be a barrier to moving your body. Full stop.

Elansu was created by founder Nicola Fitzpatrick after years of wrestling into sports bras, doubling them up and wondering why finding proper support felt like a workout before the workout.
As a fuller-bust woman who loves exercise, she knew there had to be a better way.
The result is the Nova Sports Bra – designed specifically for fuller busts, without wires, compression or the dreaded monoboob. It became the first UK sports bra to be independently tested through jumping and agility, alongside running, putting real movement at the heart of its design.

Elansu – Support that moves with you, not against you.

Awesome Hugs Beauty & Wellness

Tina Simpson is the Awesome Hugs product range!

Years ago her skin started breaking out relentlessly; she was embarrassed and frustrated. How could she, a newly trained beauty therapist, help others when she couldn’t figure out her own skin?

She remembers staring at a prescription steroid cream, reading the leaflet that said it wasn’t suitable for facial use. That moment changed everything! She decided to stop treating the symptoms and start addressing the root cause.

As Tina learned to make her own products, she realised how potent and healing plant-based ingredients could be. Each one has a story, a purpose, and research to back its benefits. That’s why transparency is a cornerstone of Awesome Hugs. Every product comes with a full ingredient list that’s easy to read.  She wants every one of her customers to feel empowered and confident, knowing exactly what they’re putting on their skin and why it works!

Nu Skin with Catherine Freeman

Catherine previously owned a traditional business in the beauty industry, as well as a teeth whitening company. She absolutely loved what she did but she got to a point where she was looking for time freedom.

It was then that she stumbled upon Nu Skin. Catherine was blown away by the products, and the results they gave, but it was the business model that excited her.

18 years later and she’s at the top of the compensation plan, but, more importantly, she’s helped lots of people do the same. It’s a business model that’s given Catherine choices and feels she’s found her business home.

FREE menopause support in Glasgow

Paula Wingate  is the 49 year old leader of menopause support group Keep on Talking Menopause, held in the Govan and Rutherglen areas of Glasgow. She voluntarily started this after a full hysterectomy – ovaries removed – in 2023 plunged her into surgical menopause.

Paula was discharged 3 days after her operation with a bottle of HRT gel but no follow-up support. She was left to figure things out for herself; the hormone crash was horrendous! She felt lost and didn’t understand what was happening to her. Paula started the group – and a weekly walking group – because she doesn’t want others to feel the way she felt, or struggle alone.

Joan Graham (64) almost lost her life to perimenopause; she was denied HRT and hospitalised for 4 months. Help came in the form of menopause campaigner,  Diane Danzebrink of Menopause Support, who she discovered quite by chance.

Joan now volunteers on behalf of Menopause Support, sharing her experience so that women do not face the struggle she had. Joan regularly hands out Menopause Support literature in surgeries, town halls and libraries in Johnstone and Paisley, helping women navigate their menopause journey so they can access the best support possible.

Joan vows to continue supporting women in this way until GPs and other healthcare professionals, like gynaecologists , psychiatrists and dieticians,  understand hormones and menopause.
